This annual GLOWS event invites students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 to imagine, design, and illustrate a “contraption” that solves a problem. Through this contest, GLOWS is encouraging students to use critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. It will also help them develop creative pitch skills!
For this year’s Kootenay Contraption Contest, we challenge individual students and entire classes to come up with the most creative, imaginative “contraption” they can dream up to solve this challenge:
Think about a challenge you’re facing at school or homeschool. Create a contraption using STEAM to overcome this problem so that students/educators of the future won’t have the same challenge.
The Kootenay Contraption Contest runs from October 26 - November 20, 2020. The deadline is November 20 for all contraptions.
