Creston Area Winter School Bus Routes

Winter is approaching! In preparation for this, School District 8 has identified some areas within the district where, due to grade and topography, the service by a school bus during events of severe winter weather would place students and staff at an unacceptable level of risk. 

Below are some pre-determined alternate school bus stop locations and pick up or drop off times, in case of a severe winter event in the Creston Area.

For all students living on Lakeview Road west of Vincent Road:

The morning the stop location will be at the intersection of Lake View Road and Highway 3A at 7:53 am
The afternoon the stop location will be at the intersection of Vincent Road and Lake View Road East at 3:25 pm (for elementary students) & @ 3:53 pm (for Secondary students)         

For all students living on Cory Road:
The morning stop location will be at the intersection of Cory Road and Highway 3A at 8:00 am,
The afternoon the stop location will be at the intersection of Cory Road and Highway 3A at 3:50 pm.

For all students living on Evans Road and Teetzel Road there will be two alternate stop locations:
In the morning the stop locations will be at the intersections of Evans Road and West Creston Road at 7:33 am and Teetzel Road and West Creston Road at 7:42 am,
The afternoon stop locations will be at the intersections of Evans Road and West Creston Road at 3:30 pm and Teetzel Road and West Creston Road at 3:41 pm.

For all students living on McKay Road, Simmons Road, and Corn Creek Road, Peterman Road:
The morning stop location will be at the intersection of Peterman Road and Corn Creek Road at 8:02 am.
The afternoon stop location will be at the intersection of Peterman Road and Corn Creek Road at 4:09 pm.

For all students living on Arrow Creek East Road and Goat River North Road:
The morning stop location will be at the intersection of Arrow Creek East Road and Goat River North Road at 7:38 am.
The afternoon stop location will be at the intersection of Highway 3 and Arrow Creek East Road at 2:58 pm (for elementary students) and 3:40 pm (for secondary students).
