Harry Potter Gala – December 10

Some of our Wildflower Middle School students are helping the LV Rogers High School’s Amnesty group with their Harry Potter Gala to raise money for the UN Refugee Agency.

This year, the film is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The event will be taking place at the Civic Theatre on Saturday December 10th, with doors opening at 3 and the movie starting at 4. WFMS will be selling tickets on the 3rd floor of the school on Wednesday and Thursday at recess and lunch. Tickets can be also be purchased at Otter Books ($8 for students and $10 for adults). Everyone is encouraged to come in costume! There will be door prizes, trivia, and other fun activities for people of all ages!

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) protects the rights and well-being of refugees all over the world. Their efforts are currently occupied in providing asylum, safety and advocacy to refugees and displaced persons from Syria, Iraq, South Sudan and other war-torn and dangerous situations everywhere. This event is a great way to learn about and raise funds for the UNCHR, while enjoying a magical adventure to the world of Harry Potter!
